Brittany Ferries has announced a new route between Ireland and northern Spain.
The service, linking Cork and Santander, will start at the end of April and make two return trips a week.
A new ship will be chartered to serve the route, it’s expected that the ships will carry a 50/50 split between passengers and freight.
The new route is being seen as a future test should there be issues with supplies to Ireland following Brexit
