FAMILY FOOD REVIEW - Keith & Val's Chippy

After a busy week here in Benidorm, it was Friday afternoon where my family and I decided to dine at Keith and Val’s chippy.  It’s been a while since we have eaten the UK’s most famous cuisine, and this was our first time visiting the restaurant.

Located opposite El Raco campsite, along Avenida Doctor Severo Ochoa you will find Keith and Val’s Chippy, a traditional fish and chip shop offering all of your fresh fish and chip shop favourites.

We arrived just after 6pm and sat inside the popular eatery, there is also a good-sized outdoor terrace area where diners were chatting away and enjoying their meals.  We looked over the menu and my Son was first to decide on the small sausage and chips – his favourite, with a piece of bread and butter.  With daily specials on offer my Husband chose the cod, chips and mushy peas special of the day, whilst I ordered doner kebab meat, chips and salad.  We also decided on a few slices of bread and butter too.

Our food was freshly cooked whilst we waited, as we enjoyed our drinks whilst chatting about the day we had all had.  Our food was served, first was our Son’s sausage and chips he was eager to tuck in, with a helping of tomato ketchup.  My Husband’s plate was a great sized portion with a large piece of fish – the cod was fresh, moist and flakey coated in fresh crisp batter.  The chips, traditional chip shop chips were also freshly cooked, accompanied by a generous side helping of mushy peas.

My plated doner kebab meat was lightly spiced again a great sized portion of strips of tasty succulent kebab meat, with freshly cooked chips and salad.  I also requested garlic mayonnaise and spicy hot sauce, perfect with the kebab meat.

We all enjoyed our meals here at Keith and Val’s chippy, and we all cleared our plates! You can be sure to enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere whilst enjoying freshly cooked food.  Visit Keith and Val’s Chippy opposite El Raco campsite from Monday to Saturday, like their page on Facebook and see their advert in the 1 News Benidorm Newspaper.
