Quarantine set to be cut to ten days as national review takes place

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that quarantines for those who test positive for the coronavirus are to be shortened from 14 days to 10.

Minister of Health, Salvador Illa, said his department was finalising plans to amend the current guidance with various regions across the country.

The proposal is understood to say that those who show no symptoms of the virus are able to leave self-isolation 10 days after their test, instead of 14 days.

Health experts are currently working through the national strategy for early detection of the coronavirus across the country.
