Three year old boy dies after drowning in Alicante, whilst 18-year-old dies in Majorca drowning

A three-year-old Irish boy who was pulled from the water in Orihuela on Monday has died, according to sources at Alicante Hospital.

The child was found unconscious on the Cabo Roig beach shortly after 9am on Monday morning, with emergency services spending over an hour performing CPR on the child, who sadly succumbed to his injuries yesterday morning.

In an unrelated incident, an investigation has been launched after an 18-year-old British woman died after being found in a swimming pool at a villa in Majorca.

A relative found the woman, who was declared dead at the scene.
